Daniel Gershburg
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Daniel Gershburg always had an entrepreneurial spirit. After graduating from New York Law school, Daniel immediately opened the doors to his own law office, hoping to change the way small attorneys are perceived. After 11 years of solo practice, he became a partner at a boutique Real Estate law firm before starting KGM with Matt and Scott. Daniel is involved in various not-for-profit and Pro Bono initiatives including the Brooklyn Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project and the Queens Community House. He teaches Bankruptcy and Real Estate law for various CLE providers, including LexisNexis, Lawline.com, and NACLE.com and instructs Real Estate brokers on all aspects of transactions as a licensed CE instructor.

Scott C. Konner
Born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, December 18, 1958; admitted to New York Bar (1986); US District Court of Southern District of New York (1986). Education: University of Michigan (A.B., 1981); Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (J.D., 1985).
Mr. Konner represents institutions and individuals in the acquisition, selling, conveyancing, financing, and restructuring of residential and commercial real estate with an emphasis on cooperatives, condominiums and single townhouses/brownstones and multifamily homes. He has extensive experience in his three decades of practice having closed over 5,000 deals in his career.

Sharon Darouvar
Sharon focuses her practice on real estate transactions. She represents purchasers, sellers, investors, lenders, and developers in the purchase, sale, development and financing of residential and commercial real estate. Her residential practice includes experience in the purchase and/or sale of individual cooperative and condominium units, private homes, as well as townhouses. Her commercial practice includes the acquisition or disposition of mixed-use properties, multi-family properties, commercial buildings, and development sites. She also represents tenants and landlords in residential and commercial lease transactions.
Sharon leads transactions from inception to closing with a genuine spirit of cooperation, high quality work, and results. Clients appreciate her responsiveness and ability to foster a personal client relationship. Her experience in counseling parties of all real estate asset types allows her to provide her clients with a comprehensive guide through the legal process. In 2019 and 2020, she was recognized among only 2.5 percent of New York attorneys as a New York “Super Lawyer” and Rising Star in Real Estate.
Sharon is an avid reader, loves to travel, and is proficient in Hebrew. She is involved in community affairs and lives in New York City with her husband.

Matthew G. Melnick
Matt’s practice centers around the areas of real estate and real estate finance. He has extensive experience representing purchasers and sellers of condominium and cooperative apartments, brownstones and single and multi-family homes. Matt also has represented lending institutions and served as legal counsel for several title companies. This background allows Matt to counsel his clients in all aspects of a real estate transaction, from due diligence and contract negotiation through closing.
Whether a client is a first-time homebuyer or sophisticated investor, it is important to Matt that each have a full understanding of their transaction and that they are provided with unsurpassed legal representation.
Outside of the practice of law, Matt is a Trustee of the East Meadow Union Free School District Board of Education, elected by the registered voters of the District. The East Meadow School District is one of the largest on Long Island and the Trustees establish the policies governing the operation of the District and school budget. Matt has served as the President of the School Board since 2018.

Scott Goldman
Scott Goldman has focused on practicing residential real estate dating back to law school and as an attorney for 20 years thereafter. From 2006-2012 Scott worked (and was made partner) at a hybrid transactional real estate/real estate litigation firm representing numerous sellers and buyers ranging from first-time purchasers to sophisticated investors. Having worked closely with litigation attorneys for 6 years, Scott had a long window into a side of real estate law that enabled him to develop a unique ability to foresee potential issues and problems, and to deal with them before they became real issues and/or problems.
In 2012 Scott joined what was regarded annually as one of, if not the largest, residential real estate firms in New York City, where Scott continued to represent buyers, sellers, and investors in high volume for over 10 years before the firm was sold which subsequently led him to Konner Gershburg Melnick Darouvar.

Valerie Rothman
Valerie is an attorney with 30 years of experience and for the better part of the past decade, Valerie has concentrated her practice in real estate law representing clients in all facets of residential transactions. She guides her clients from accepted offer to the closing table, with attention and support, understanding that purchasing or selling a home can be stressful and sometimes emotional. Before working in the real estate world, Valerie was a litigator both in criminal and civil court where she learned to listen to and advocate for her clients. Outside of work, Valerie enjoys spending time in the East Village where she lives with her husband, 2 sons and 2 shar-pei dogs. She also enjoys relaxing with her family in the Catskills, where she’s escaped to for the past 25 years. Valerie is also a certified yoga instructor and her claim to fame was being a roller-skating waitress in NYC during college. time with close friends, appreciating art, and being excited for all of the adventures that life has to offer.

Tessa Worrell is an Associate Attorney specializing in residential and commercial real estate transactions. Prior to joining the firm in 2024, Tessa gained experience at several law firms, focusing on real estate and navigating complex legal matters. Tessa is a graduate of Fordham University and Cardozo School of Law. Outside of the office, she enjoys an active lifestyle that includes traveling, Pilates, open water swimming, and running.
